Automobiles in German Town Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were alerted by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 cars have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Police state they were alerted late on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered numerous other smeared cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement report initial examinations show the substance was most likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; authorities are currently not cognizant of any physical harm in association with the incident," they added.

City officials said they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the community for details.

A senior representative commented the attack made him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on a platform, mentioning the death of nine victims by a shooter targeting people of foreign heritage in February 2020.
